ISES Sydney members and guests had a great evening on Sydney Harbour on Tuesday night.
Our vessel was the Southern Swan. The barquentine ship first sailed into Sydney Harbour on 26th January 1988 with the First Fleet Re-enactment and is the only ship from that fleet that remains in Sydney.
While most of the 95 passengers on board were content to take in the harbour view and the opportunity to get up close to the other tall ships and the warships from various navies that were in the harbour for the RAN centenary, for others the highlight was the opportunity to climb the rigging to the crows nest for an even more spectacular view.
